Time To Launch?

So in just an hour or so I will be leaving for a blissful three day retreat here in T-Town to scrapbook until my hearts content!  But before I do that I must do as I promised and let you know that I have FINALLY posted a few items on my Etsy shop!  I know, I didn't think I would ever actually do it, but I put my fears aside and just ran with it.  Good or bad my creations are now out there in the universe.  There is a link off the the right to take you to the shop.  Another very exciting thing that is happening is that I have become an independent consultant for Rodan and Fields!  It's a skincare line with all sorts of good stuff that I am really loving using and just want to share with people.  Even Truman is excited and will be helping me do consulting and answering questions (it's for men to use too!).  I'm very new to the company but I do have my own website and of course e-mail for anyone interested in looking at the products or ordering.  Just send me a line if you have any questions and P.S. if you are interested the best way to order is to become a preferred customer which I can explain if you'd like to contact me.  I'm including a link under the Etsy shop link on the right to make it easy to get to.  So I hope everyone checks out my tiny little shop and enjoys their weekend as much as I'm going to!

Crazy Life

Sorry it's been a little while since I've posted anything!  I've been making a couple more projects for the Etsy shop, which I will share with you on Friday, and packing for the scrap retreat this weekend.  Which also means that I don't have anything out to scrap with now!  I couldn't even make a card for my brother-in-law for his upcoming birthday (sorry Theo)!  However this has given me a bit more time to spend time with my husband (who now is getting home way too early since starting his new job, I mean that in the best way) and seeing friends and family.  Yesterday I got to hang out with my sister-in-law and go shopping.  Now, I really am trying to save money but my sister-in-law and brother-in-law got me a gift card to one of my favorite stores for helping them with their boys, so what was a girl to do?!  That's right, shop!!!  It was great fun and I'm so looking forward to this weekend where I can scrap until my hearts content with my music blasting and great friends all around.  Till Friday my friends....

Thank Goodness for Sisters!

So today my sister came over with the kids to hang out.  We went to the pool, had a nice lunch, and then played pool.  Now, my sister is pretty amazing and one of the reasons why is because she knows how to figure stuff out.  She helped me add a link to my Etsy shop (for when I eventually post products up there :-) and she helped me make an amazing business card holder for the scrapbook retreat.  I'm SO glad I have a sister who can find such cool stuff so I don't have to buy it and it's SO much prettier than anything you'd find in a store!  Thanks sis, I love you!

Cards

Hope everyone had a fantastic Father's Day weekend.  I spent some quality time with my daddy and also got to relax a little up the road in Paradise Valley for a friends birthday.  Nothing like a massage and pool time with great friends to relax you.  Now back to work, right?!  The scrapbook retreat is fast approaching and I am still very unprepared but I am working on some projects to put on my Etsy shop in a couple of weeks.  Everything I used on this project is from Stampin' Up though some of the products are retired.  I have to use up things in my stash so I can get more after all!  Here's a little preview...

Let's Do This!

I have been very preoccupied with life in general and have not really done much for my Etsy shop.  But today after picking up my sister from the airport I worked on a project to sell.  And...I actually finished it!  I won't be posting any of these projects until the end of the month on Etsy but I'm proud that I got something done.  It's a single 12 X 12 scrapbook layout using Stampin'Up products, albeit many of the products are likely retired.  If anyone likes the Stampin'Up products you see on any of my projects please e-mail me and I can give you my sisters name.  She's a demonstrator for Stampin'Up and can hook you up, even if she is moving to a new state soon, I know she be happy to help.  This layout could also be framed once a picture and date was added since they now make frames in this size.  Please forgive the photo, I'll have to get my brother in law over here to teach me how to use my fancy camera better!  Enjoy!

Artwork?

So today I am working on my very first piece of canvas.  I'm just starting and have no idea what I'm doing but that's half the fun, right?!  I thought I'd share the little bit I have so far.  I'm experimenting with paint, ink, paper, and stamps so far.  In fact I'm treating it like an art journal page so we will see if the canvas can hold up to a few layers and types of glue mediums.  Sorry the pictures are kind of dark, I don't have very bright lighting in here and I only know how to edit photos so much.  And yes I'm working on the floor of my scrap "studio" on a cardboard box so as to not damage my carpet. Well enjoy and I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Finally finished!

So it took me a few days to make time and find inspiration but the altered book for the scrap retreat is finished!!!!  I chose to try papers that I would normally never use so it was difficult for me to be inspired.  In the end I think it came out pretty good.  I used all sorts of different products from my stash.  The printed paper was from My Minds Eye, the rub-ons, paper flowers, spray ink, and bling were all random products.  Everything else (inks, solid paper, stamps, brads, punches, and ribbon) were mostly from Stampin' Up!  Hope you enjoy!

Sorry it's been so long my friends but it has been a busy few days.  My nephew graduated high school and one of my kitties was feeling under the weather.  There was of course celebrations to attend, including one to wish my brother in law well in his new position in Washington State.  So needless to say I have yet to create anything for my Etsy shop, I know, I know fail!  However I have started to work on an altered chipboard book that I will be raffling off at a scrapbook retreat at the end of this month.  It's not very exciting yet but I figured I would post a picture now and then one or two when it's finished.  I hope everyone enjoys their week.
